Note Right on the Essex/Herts border, not far from Bishop’s Stortford, Takeley’s neat enclosed ground is, as the address suggests, close to the old disused railway station. The former railway line lies behind the small wooden stand, with the two dugouts opposite. There is also a decent brick clubhouse with an overhanging roof providing further cover, and all the club needs is some seats and floodlights to enable it to move up the Pyramid. DB |
