Snapshots - Worthing FC

Worthing vs Brighton & Hove Albion. Pre-Season Friendly, 8 July 2006, Woodside Road. Score 0-4. Attendance 1,284.
Traditionally, the Rebels meet the Seagulls for Sussex’s first pre-season friendly and this was a gorgeous afternoon to watch football on the day before the World Cup Final! The Albion fielded a different side in each half (and a different kit as well) and despite Worthing (in red) missing a penalty and hitting the bar in the first half, the superior fitness of the full-time professional outfit told in the end. No apologies for the number of photographs of probably my favourite Sussex ground. I am always a little circumspect about including photographs of children, but their presence often makes for an interesting photograph... and illustrates the non-threatening atmosphere at Non League games. However, if their parents happen to see these and object, I will remove them... or let them have a copy of the photograph. DB.
