Enfield v Enfield Town, FA Vase 3rd Round. Sunday 12 December 2004, Wodson Park, Ware FC. Score 1-0, Attendance 614.
The first proper meeting between Enfield (in white), still homeless but thankfully now rid of their asset-stripping Chairman; and Enfield Town, the break-away club that formed to keep football in Enfield itself. Good humoured banter between the fans, however no pleasantries on the pitch in a very bad tempered and fiercely contested match. “Enfield Town is a railway station” is one of the more inventive chants I’ve heard this season. The attendance of 614 appeared to comprise mostly ground-hoppers, there were a lot of familiar faces comparing facts in spiral-bound notebooks! NM

In response to several requests for some pics of Enfield on the site! DB
