St. Albans City vs Eastbourne Borough. Nationwide Conference South, 10 September 2005, Clarence Park. Score 5-0.  Attendance 405.
As a Borough fan this is not an afternoon I really want to be reminded of. Nevertheless, St. Albans’ evocative Clarence Park looks as wonderful as ever. Unbelievably it was 0-0 at half-time, only for the Saints (yellow) to score four times in the space of eleven minutes - including three in seven minutes for substitute Matt Hann. There was no way back for Borough after that. At least I managed to squeeze in seven grounds before kick-off, and a further five on the way home, so not an entirely wasted day! DB.
