Snapshots - Lewes FC

Lewes vs Eastbourne Borough. Nationwide Conference South, 1 January 2005, The Dripping Pan. Score 1-0.  Attendance 1,555.
If ever a ground was aptly named it was the Dripping Pan for this New Year’s Day Sussex derby fixture. Whilst I sheltered in the stand writing a match report for the Borough website and broadcasting on local radio, the intrepid Mike Floate was out in the torrential rain snapping these atmospheric pics. As for the game: the weather was the winner, but Lewes stole it with a solitary second half goal by Marc Whiteman (thought I’d better mention that, damn!)
