Horsham vs Hastings United. Ryman Isthmian League Division One, 26 February 2005, Queen Street. Score 1-2. Attendance 383.
An entertaining Sussex derby with Horsham (yellow, 2nd in the League) failing to capitalise on their dominance of the first half, and beaten by a Simon Rowland strike deep into stoppage time. Queen Street will fall victim to the bulldozers in 2008 ... or earlier if Horsham find themselves a new home before the deadline, and it’s a ground that should be on any hopper’s list. Rather a rubbery burger but excellent matchday programme. There is often a good atmosphere at Horsham and the ‘Lardy Boys’ were in good voice on this occasion. DB.
