Snapshots - Burgess Hill Town FC

Burgess Hill Town vs Godalming Town. Isthmian League Division One South, 28 August 2006, Leylands Park. Score 1-0.  Attendance 181.
Burgess Hill (in yellow/black) won the Sussex County League five times in seven years but have found the step up to the Isthmian League somewhat tougher over the past few seasons. Todayís visitors were newcomers themselves, having won promotion from the Combined Counties League. As always, the Leylands Park crowd was small but passionate, although the game itself was very disappointing. A Luke Gedling goal finally secured maximum points for the Hillians. Leylands Park is a nice ground in the summer, with trees bordering two sides. Photo opportunities however, were limited due to the strong sun behind the main stand, hence it only features in one photograph - you might just spot it on the far side in the first pic (better photographs on Burgess Hillís page on the Nomad-Online site).  DB
