Note Raynes Park Vale Football Club was formed in 1995, following the merger of two clubs: Raynes Park FC and Malden Vale FC. Raynes Park Football Club had been founded in 1964, taking over from the Southern Railway football section; whilst Malden Vale Football Club was formed three years later. After two years of planning, Raynes Park Vale FC made its CCL debut on 18 August 1995. The Prince George Playing Fields were sold to Charles Koppel of Wimbledon FC but the proposed Dons Academy fell through. Following the latter’s relocation to Milton Keynes and re-birth as MK Dons, Raynes Park Vale FC continue to be the custodians of the ground, although the club has been looking for a new ground for some time.
