Note Formed in 1907, the club played at Whitehorse Lane until 1975, when they moved to Cotlandswick, the former sports ground of Marconi Instruments. Tucked away off the busy A414 towards Watford close to the London Colney roundabout, the ground has a rather rural feel to it. A typically bland but quite large seated stand of the now ubiquitous Arena Seating design nevertheless meets ground grading requirements and is situated on the far touchline. It replaced a simple breeze block cover, which itself replaced a previous shelter destroyed by vandals in 1986. Arguably of more interest are the dugouts opposite - not a particularly attractive breezeblock and steel construction but certainly a bit out of the ordinary, and incorporating a section for standing, chairs, or the fourth official in between. A good view of the action can be gained from the grass bank at the car park end of the ground (reached via a long approach road), where there is also a comfortable clubhouse. DB
