Note Highgate compete with a number of rival clubs for players in this quite rural area of the West Midlands. The club occupies a large site and the main pitch is some way from the rather unassuming clubhouse that greets visitors as they pass through the main gate. At least three small covers of various descriptions have disappeared but the longest stretch of cover of any ground in the region stands along the near touchline, with seats at the near end. Now christened the Patrick & Philomena Meade Stand, most of it was built in July 1996. Opposite stand two capacious and relatively new breezeblock dugouts, built by one of the players. Those curious enough to venture through the foliage distant to the far touchline will find the pitch used by Solihull (Technical) College, actually on the grounds of the Old Yardleians Rugby Club, and boasting a rather battered corrugated iron cover flanked by two equally decrepit dugouts (see below).
