Note Competing in Division One of the Anglian Combination at the time these photographs were taken, Hempnall’s Bungay Road ground boasts a very impressive clubhouse / dressing room facility which one assumes also serves the village as a whole. The pitch is a little way from the building which also has an overhang to provide some shelter. Two small wooden dugouts stand on the right hand side as one looks down the pitch from the clubhouse.
