Note Wilks Park has been home to Flackwell Heath FC since WW2, when the club moved from the Recreation Ground. Like many Isthmian League grounds, it is a bit tired-looking but nevertheless conveys that essential Non League character. It is quite a tight venue, surrounded by housing. The low breezeblock stand with its bucket-type seats that straddles the half-way line on the far side of the pitch dates from 1984, although looks older. It was built to meet requirements of the Isthmian League after the club was successful in gaining membership. Opposite is the changing room building. This has been modernised, but is essentially the original building from when the ground first opened. This has an overhang which provides further cover, whilst the dugouts are adjacent. There are two further areas of basic cover at either end of the pitch, which slopes down quite steeply towards the bottom corner. DB
