Note Earl’s Colne Football Club was founded in the 1870s and is therefore one of the oldest clubs in Essex. Green Farm Meadow has been the club’s home since 1921. The brick-built cover, complete with weather vane was built in 1999 and is flanked by two equally attractive dugouts, each with pitched slate roofs. Smart and quite unusual. DB |
