Note Blackfield & Langley FC joined the Wessex League in 2000, and play on a pitch behind a large Community Centre in Blackfield. The view is dominated by the massive Esso refinery at nearby Fawley, but it’s not a bad little ground for all that; rather functional but perfectly adequete for this level of the pyramid. One of the problems of being so close to a Community Centre is ... the local community. There are skateboarding facilities for the local youth set a little bit behind the near goal, but it would appear some of the less desirable elements prefer to congregate within the stand and vandalise the seats. As one would expect from such a venue, car parking is plentiful. DB |
