Note Having spent a year ground-sharing at Stourport Swifts FC, Bewdley Town returned to their picturesque Ribbesford Meadows ground at the start of the 2006-07 season. The ground is actually situated in Ribbesford, south of Bewdley and close to the banks of the River Severn. Redevelopment to the tune of £100,000 has seen the erection of floodlights and an impressive 140 seat grandstand (not yet fininshed in the photograph below), built into the steep banking that runs along one side of the ground. Shame about the floodlight pylon immediately in front! New dressing rooms and a hospitality suite have also been built, in the form of timber cabins imported from Scandinavia perfectly in keeping with the ground’s surroundings. DB |
