Note The most famous ‘old boy’ of the Aylestone Park club is a certain Gary Lineker, and Leicester’s favourite son is commemorated in the aptly named ‘Lineker Lounge’ on the upper floor of the two storey changing room / clubhouse building adjacent to the car park. This is set back behind the fully railed and floodlit pitch, with the concrete posts and rail painted in the club colours. There is a small ubiquitous Arena Seating stand, that provides the only cover although little elevation of note. On the far side there are a couple of brick & breezeblock dugouts of a slightly unusual design, and again painted in the club’s red and white livery. Leicester City Ladies also play games at the ground. DB
